Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth; she has charm and elegance. He’s a dedicated attorney who has never lost a case; she is a flawless homemaker, a masterful gardener and cook, and dotes on her disabled younger sister. Though they are still newlyweds, they seem to have it all. You might not want to like them, but you do. You’re hopelessly charmed by the ease and comfort of their home, by the graciousness of the dinner parties they throw. You’d like to get to know Grace better.
But it’s difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are inseparable.
Some might call this true love. Others might wonder why Grace never answers the phone. Or why she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. Or why she never seems to take anything with her when she leaves the house, not even a pen. Or why there are such high-security metal shutters on all the downstairs windows.
Some might wonder what’s really going on once the dinner party is over, and the front door has closed.
From bestselling author B. A. Paris comes the gripping thriller and international phenomenon Behind Closed Doors.

It was an interesting concept about a man who seems perfect, only to get what he wants and then ruins his wife’s life. It wasn’t a one- sitting type of read, but I wanted to finish it to see how it ended and if she ever escaped him. I would have liked for the ending to have been more detailed and have more “oomph” but it did the job. 35
How anyone can say that this book was a thriller “can’t put it down” is mind boggling. It was a boring book with snobbish, self center characters. 15
This novel is right up there with all of the best I have read. An amazing and somewhat sorry full store of an abusive and somewhat disturbed husband who weds an opposite caring and trusting woman who has no idea of the terrifying journey her marriage will take her on. 55
Just purchased this book, because it was rated very well and under $4 to buy! this kept me turning page after page every day and the style it’s written back and forth really kept me going! loved this book and even the recommendation of other books by the author herself! 55
I really did have low expectations of the book and it’s hard to get me to really read a book all in one sitting and this one did that! While reading I was able to predict what was happening but I think that’s what the author intended you to think because as I got deeper I was more surprised and then ending was great. 10/10 recommend 55
Did not love any of the characters through the entire book but I could not stop reading because I wanted to know what was coming next. Reading a book when you can’t find anything to like about any character is why I gave it a 3 35
Please make a second book to this.. I need more of Grace and Millie 55
This book was just ok. I skipped a lot just trying to get through slower parts. Got tired of so much description of how evil he was. Really a little too much. And what about how the basement door locked from outside. I can assure you police would big time question that 35
I liked how it flip flopped and then eventually all came together at the end. At the beginning you would probably think it isn’t going to be so good because I did but the more I read the more I got into it and it actually turned out great! 55
I loved it. I actually got chills when I read the ending. 55
Good read 45
Although I felt the book was predictable I still really enjoyed the read. I wish it would have been a little more complex and let us know more about Jack. I would have liked to read jacks point of view as a child to show how he became this monster. 45
I randomly stumbled upon this book and I was pleasantly surprised! Fast paced with unexpected twists and turns. What more could you want? I finished this book in two days. I couldn't put it down. I'll definitely be reading more of this author's work. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys this genre. 55
Excellent read. Read it in one weekend. A different thriller than what has been out there lately. The author did a great job of pulling you into the main character's hell on earth. 55
This was a very suspenseful story, which I was unable to put down! Highly recommended! 55
Very choppy and hard to keep going. But wanted to see how Grace was going to get away. 25
The book started off interesting and then it just got a little out of hand. Never been a fan of books like this and my view still hasn't changed. This book was too dark, twisted and unrealistic to me. Everything was predictable towards the end. Good try though. I really don't understand the hype. 25
