From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a second chance romance about a hotshot quarterback and the one girl who isn't falling for his game.
I broke her heart ten years ago and left town.
She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted.
But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.
He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history?
But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up.
News flash, buddy: I am over you.

Ok. So this book ended up being really good, but after the "break-up" text by Weston, I kinda lost all faith in him. Jane had a great head on her shoulders and I absolutely loved her. Weston's recovery was really nice. But for me it was a bit too late. I would have walked away. Luckily for Weston, Jane made the decision, not me. Weston totally wrecked Jane. He left her, again. I don't think I'd forgive him twice, much less three times. But they worked well together. I ended up really liking Weston. I guess you could say he redeemed himself. Though to me he was a bit of a coward. But enough with the ugly. I ended up really liking this book. There was no drama but there was turmoil. I enjoyed the premise of the story. I enjoyed the plot. I liked the dialogue, it was really good. I liked Weston and Jane's interactions. I enjoyed their intimate moments. I loved the epilogue. It really brought the story together. 45
Wes sure got over the fact he caused janes miscarriage fast! The author skipped all the emotional stuff with miscarriages. Saying sorry once doesn’t heal old wounds or solve grieving!! This book does miscarriages disgracefully! I wish I didn’t spend my money on this garbage. The author just tried to get the story done, no context or pausing. Literally tired of books with arrogant, hypocrite, alpha type guys who judge the girl for having fun and relationships. Yet the girl NEVER judges or treats the guy with judgement, jealousy or anger. Such typical double standards 🙄 15
I really enjoyed reading this book. I will be reading more of this authors books. I am now a fan. 45
Great book 55
Is there such a thing as a third chance romance? Cuz, really it’s not quite a second chance romance. Wes and Jane were sweethearts in high school. College and Wes’ actions are what breaks them apart. Who would have thought 10yrs later Wes would end up playing professional football for the very team Jane works for. But Wes makes some not so smart moves. And Jane, a woman who LOVES football... she has to end up with Wes... Right? Truly is a good book, don’t have to be a football lover to enjoy it. It’s not my favorite book from Ms. Ryan, but that said, I’m still anxious to get Alex’s book. 45
So glad Kendall tried a sports romance. She knocked it out of the park!! Yes! Loved these characters. Very sweet epilogue too. 55
If anyone is from Chicago, you’ll know that the Hawks are a hockey team. The author or editor should have caught that. Their mistake was made on the first couple of pages, which was enough for me not to continue to read. 15
Who doesn’t love a 2nd chance romance of high school sweethearts. I loved this story. Jane & Weston... precious!! Super sweet. Super sexy. Super awesome. Mix in some football. Recipe for awesomeness. PS: cannot wait for next book in jan. finding Alexei. 55
I love sports books, so I was very excited when I found out Kendall was writing a sports romance. She does a great job of tying football into the storyline and keeping it an active component. I enjoyed the main concept of the book and how everything develops as the book goes on. Wes can be an idiot at times, but he's a strong, determined, caring guy. Jane is a sweet, hardworking, and funny girl. She's got a great head on her shoulders and is great at her job. Her relationship with Wes is filled with ups and downs. They have a lot of struggles but they were meant to be. I would have liked a just a little more detail and content towards the end. The epilogue was a cute one for sure! I'm excited for Finding Alexei now! 45
Jane and Wes were childhood sweethearts. When long distance isn’t working when they are in college Jane makes the decision to let him go. She is shocked when the football team she works for picks him up. Great second chance romance. I liked how Wes owned up to his past mistakes. Jane made him work for forgiveness. A sweet and steamy read. Super enjoyable. 55
