THE INSIDE STORY ON PRESIDENT TRUMP, AS ONLY BOB WOODWARD CAN TELL IT
With authoritative reporting honed through eight presidencies from Nixon to Obama, author Bob Woodward reveals in unprecedented detail the harrowing life inside President Donald Trump’s White House and precisely how he makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies. Woodward draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, meeting notes, personal diaries, files and documents. The focus is on the explosive debates and the decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One and the White House residence.
Fear is the most intimate portrait of a sitting president ever published during the president’s first years in office.
Fear is a feeling induced by perceived danger or threat that occurs in certain types of organisms, which causes a change in metabolic and organ functions and ultimately a change in behavior, such as fleeing, hiding, or freezing from perceived traumatic events. Fear in human beings may occur in response to a specific stimulus occurring in the present, or in anticipation or expectation of a future threat perceived as a risk to body or life. The fear response arises from the perception of danger leading to confrontation with or escape from/avoiding the threat (also known as the fight-or-flight response), which in extreme cases of fear (horror and terror) can be a freeze response or paralysis. In humans and animals, fear is modulated by the process of cognition and learning. Thus fear is judged as rational or appropriate and irrational or inappropriate. An irrational fear is called a phobia. Psychologists such as John B. Watson, Robert Plutchik, and Paul Ekman have suggested that there is only a small set of basic or innate emotions and that fear is one of them. This hypothesized set includes such emotions as acute stress reaction, anger, angst, anxiety, fright, horror, joy, panic, and sadness. Fear is closely related to, but should be distinguished from, the emotion anxiety, which occurs as the result of threats that are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable. The fear response serves survival by generating appropriate behavioral responses, so it has been preserved throughout evolution. Sociological and organizational research also suggests that individuals’ fears are not solely dependent on their nature but are also shaped by their social relations and culture, which guide their understanding of when and how much fear to feel...
To Dallomp: So sick of childish right wing psychological defense mechanisms protecting themselves from their own cognitive dissonance. 55
Fake or not it supports the first two books written about this Administration Fire and Fury and Unhinged. The common thread in both books the man is unfit for the office. 35
It took me most of the day today to get through this Efile book. I was looking at the details of Woodward’s findings and I just kept reading the same pages over and over because it is so darn compelling. Trump better leave the country now and ask Russia for asylum. He’s going to need to hide. I love the book. 55
It’s a great read regardless of your political stance 55
Haven’t read it yet but here are 5 stars. 55
Can’t wait to buy this book!!! I already believe every word of it. It’s Woodwords’ word vs. Trumps. A direct path to just how PATHETIC this CROOKED president is!!! 55
Way to go Mr. Woodward, The truth really hurts those that have something to fear! 55
Bob Woodward was there when Nixon went down. Sorry Trumpanzees. You were conned and we are laughing at you. 55
Anyone who gives a negative review before the book is published should be banned from reviewing on this platform. 55
This was only written by one of the two reporters who broke the watergate story and took out Nixon. He has two Pulitzer’s. Btw, every person he interviewed for this book he has on audio tape. Listen to the recorded call between Drumpf and Woodward, Drumpf lies about being told Woodward wanted to interview him until he asks him if Lindsay Graham told him then Drumpf admitted he was told. Sorry you can’t listen to his own words on a tape caught in a lie without calling fake comrade. Besides, I doubt you’ve ever read a book except for maybe comics. Idiot. 55
