Bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Scottoline reaches new heights with this riveting novel about how a single decision can undo a family, how our past can derail our present, and how not guilty doesn't always mean innocent.
Allie Garvey is heading home to the funeral of a childhood friend. Allie is not only grief-stricken, she's full of dread. Because going home means seeing the other two people with whom she shares an unbearable secret.
Twenty years earlier, a horrific incident shattered the lives of five teenagers, including Allie. Drinking and partying in the woods, they played a dangerous prank that went tragically wrong, turning deadly. The teenagers kept what happened a secret, believing that getting caught would be the worst thing that could happen. But time has taught Allie otherwise. Not getting caught was far worse.
Allie has been haunted for two decades by what she and the others did, and by the fact that she never told a soul. The dark secret has eaten away at her, distancing her from everyone she loves, including her husband. Because she wasn't punished by the law, Allie has punished herself, and it's a life sentence.
Now, Allie stands on the precipice of losing everything. She's ready for a reckoning, determined to learn how the prank went so horribly wrong. She digs to unearth the truth, but reaches a shocking conclusion that she never saw coming--and neither will the reader.
A deeply emotional examination of family, marriage, and the true nature of justice, Someone Knows is Lisa Scottoline's most powerful novel to date. Startling, page-turning, and with an ending that's impossible to forget, this is a tour de force by a beloved author at the top of her game.
Someone Knows book summary coming soon..
Like others, I usually love her books. This story line was way too choppy. All of the chapters of characters got to be really drawn out. I skipped to the end and I do not do that. 15
The only thing good about this book was finally finishing it. A total waste of my time and money. 15
Marly from the movie marly an me dies in the movie marly and me. Still chill still chill still chill (P.S I’ve never read this book don’t take this seriously) 15
Normally love anything from Lisa Scottoline. Not this one. Storyline was weak and unbelievable. Save your money and more importantly your time. Very disappointed. 15
Really dislike back and forth type of writing. This really continues in forward timing but really chops up the flow of the story. Love Lisa’ books this did not do it for me. Really miss the DiNunsio books her parents and the Tonys. 35
Loved the characters and their individual thoughts and experiences throughout this book and how profoundly different they all were from one another. Perfect story of the repercussions of one poor choice and the aftermath that stays with you. Beautifully written 55
Pretty lame. Just went on and on for the most part...found myself skimming huge chunks The premise of what transpired was pretty convoluted and unbelievable as well. Disappointed as I’ve enjoyed her books previously. 15
OMG!!! Lisa Scottoline really delivers with this book. I thought it was a fantastic read and quite frankly one of her best books. I really liked the different point of view storytelling cause you got to see what every character was thinking and feeling. That was the best part of the book. The ending revelation did shock me. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 55
