THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
“I loved this book. It gave me the same waves of happiness I get from curling up with a classic Christie...The alternating points of view keep you guessing, and guessing wrong.” — Alex Michaelides, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Silent Patient
"Evok[es] the great Agatha Christie classics…Pay close attention to seemingly throwaway details about the characters’ pasts. They are all clues.” -- New York Times Book Review
A wedding celebration turns dark and deadly in this deliciously wicked and atmospheric thriller reminiscent of Agatha Christie from the New York Times bestselling author of The Hunting Party.
The bride – The plus one – The best man – The wedding planner – The bridesmaid – The body
On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine, or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.
But perfection is for plans, and people are all too human. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. The groomsmen begin the drinking game from their school days. The bridesmaid not-so-accidentally ruins her dress. The bride’s oldest (male) friend gives an uncomfortably caring toast.
And then someone turns up dead. Who didn’t wish the happy couple well? And perhaps more important, why?

So ridiculous and completely unrealistic! 25
Kept me guessing until the end 55
The book was great, but the ending was terrible. Absolutely no closure. To have so many point of views through out the book and then none of them tie together is so disappointing. It’s like, putting puzzle pieces together into their spots and then never connecting them. 35
I like reading books with bad review - they are always the best ones! This kept me captivated throughout the entire book. Plot twists had me actually reading with my mouth hanging open. The ending was NOT expected at all. Great read. 55
This book is marketed as a murder mystery? But that’s about 10% of the book? It’s mostly just hours of the author trying to sound like Hemingway by saying things like “the groomsmen held their torches like soldiers brandishing swords”. Overkill of metaphors and descriptive language that is so boring. Mostly this is hours of characters going on and on and mundane boring thoughts and details. I don’t care that Hannah’s room at the castle is twice as big as her room and home and that there is also an ice bucket in the room with expensive white wine and there’s also two glass sitting by it oh and there’s a chandelier above...it just doesn’t work in a murder mystery. Get the the point! It never does! 25
Overall is ok Keeps you into the island Predictable the rich people and score 5 because keep me reading 55
An awesome awesome read… too many twists and turns throughout the whole book ... a crazy twist at the very end that you’ll never see coming… A very unique style of storytelling… It is a must read for sure. Enjoy 😀 55
Just don’t. 15
Great summer read that will have you on the edge of your seat before the book goes from 0-60 in a matter of a few chapters. Very clever, fun and entertaining book! 55
