So when the Chicago P.D. bring him in to consult on a double homicide committed with black magic, Harry's seeing dollar signs. But where there's black magic, there's a black mage behind it. And now that mage knows Harry's name...
“A great series—fast-paced, vividly realized and with a hero/narrator who’s excellent company.”—Cinescape

It was a fantastic read. Investigation and magic with a little bit of wickedness to hit the spot 55
Good book. Enough to be interested in next book. Thanks Jim 45
I found the overall book really good! There were some parts that seemed really predictable and the writing style isn't my preference but the book was really good, I can't wait to get into the next one. 45
Loved it! Looking forward to the rest in the series! 55
Good first book in the series. Makes me want to read the next one. 45
I had just finished reading a grueling novel and needed something fast, 'light', and entertaining to get back into reading. The Dresden Files book one was just what I needed. The writing style is casual and very easy to follow. The story was entertaining but fairly obvious from the start. It was a good introduction to the world of Harry Dresden and sorcery. I will definitely read more of this series but only after the prices drop significantly since I was able to read this one so fast. Definitely a GoodRead! 35
Just the kind of book you need when you're looking to escape for a while. Great characters, images and creatures. Look forward to reading the rest of this series. 55
Let me start by saying this: When for a purpose outside my own, I hate reading. However, on my own will and accord, I really enjoy it! This book....this wonderful, wonderful book made me love reading even more! It was one of those books that you don't want to put down! I've been reading at home, during school, and even at work (but don't tell anyone). I've been rolling around and creating a world of my own and have been preparing to write it, & this book gave me the extra step an more of a hype to get started right away! :) Loved this book! Look forward to reading the others! Oh thank god there are more of them!!! Thank You Jim! 55
Throughly enjoyed the read. 55
This book is a good enough reason why they should bring back the show, only it should be done exactly like Tru Blood. Imagine the fun that would be like. 55
