#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts weaves together passion and obsession, humor and heart, in a novel of two people opening themselves up to the truth—and to each other.
For more than three hundred years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore—and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.
A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of—but never arrested for—the murder of his soon-to-be ex-wife.
He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though. Whiskey Beach’s resident housekeeper, yoga instructor, jewelry maker and massage therapist, Abra is a woman of many talents—including helping Eli take control of his life and clear his name. But as they become entangled in each other, they find themselves caught in a net that stretches back for centuries—one that has ensnared a man intent on reaping the rewards of destroying Eli Landon once and for all.

A thriller. A book that keeps you turning pages and can't stop reading. I didn't want it to end. The perfect couple and a story that keeps you turning page after page when you know you have other things to do. One of Nora Roberts best. 55
I was reading along and enjoying the character development and mystery ... then it happened ... “first person” of the murderer. I DON’T WANT TO CRAWL INTO THE MIND OF A PERSON LIKE THAT!!! The book was no longer fun due to the odiferous thought pattern... 25

If you have read Nora Roberts for awhile beware this was published in 1985. The book is entertaining but I thought it was a new book. Waste of my money 25
This was an extremely enjoyable book. Needless to say I liked it. I’m not sure what more one could ask for. It had romance and mystery, and even some even supposedly history, that bit about The ship wit treasure on it and which sunk if Whiskey Beach, also some about prohibition an smuggled in whiskey. 55

Nora Roberts was one of my first reads, & 90% of the time, I LOVE Her Work!! This is definitely One of My top-10!! 45
Really good book...very interesting story. 55
I was looking for something simple and relaxing, not too violent, with a happy ending. This book was it. The characters are intelligent and funny. While the ending was predictable, I enjoyed seeing how it all came together. The ending was a little too neat and tidy and quick, but it was OK. 45
From the beginning to the end, this novel will keep you guessing. 55
The book started a little slow but had me at the second chapter until the end. The characterizations were well built and the legend within the story was an interesting twist. A good read. 55
Enjoyed the book and the mysterious changes that kept happening. Some of it was a little predictable but that was fun reading also. A few sex scenes got rather dragged out and a little descriptive for my taste. If not for that, I would have given this one a five. 45
Nora Roberts is a legendary author. You can't pick up one of her novels without falling in love with the hero & making yourself the heroine. Whiskey Beach is true Roberts style from the monied old family to the pirate legend of booty washed ashore & star crossed lovers. I couldn't put it down! 55
Love Nora Roberts but I felt like someone else wrote this book for her. Not at all up to her standards! 15
A great summer read. Predictable but worth the read. Enjoy. 45
Fantastic read. 55
One more Nora Roberts at her exquisite best!!! She's terrific at plot, so descriptive at word play and she's entertaining in her witty way. I've read every Nora Roberts and enjoyed each and every one. Write, write, write Nora Roberts! I love reading your work! Beverly 55
