A master of romantic suspense, Sandra Brown spins an action-packed tale of mistaken identity, political intrigue, and assassination.
The crash of a Dallas-bound jet wasn't just a tragedy for TV reporter Avery Daniels; it was an act of fate that handed her a golden opportunity to further her career, but made her the crucial player in a drama of violent passions and deadly desires.
After plastic surgery transforms her face, Daniels is mistaken for a glamorous, selfish woman named Carole Rutledge-wife of the famous senatorial candidate Tate Rutledge who is a member of a powerful Texas dynasty.
As she lay helpless in the hospital, Daniels made a shattering discovery: Someone close to Tate planned to assassinate him. Now, to save Tate's life, Avery must live another woman's life-and risk her own...
A mirror image (in a plane mirror) is a reflected duplication of an object that appears almost identical, but is reversed in the direction perpendicular to the mirror surface. As an optical effect it results from reflection off of substances such as a mirror or water. It is also a concept in geometry and can be used as a conceptualization process for 3-D structures. ..
I loved it, but it has been many years ago that I read it. I, too, thought that maybe it was a "new" book, but I read the excerpt first. It was already in paperback when I read it. A friend gave me hers and I believe I passed it along to someone else. It's really worth reading again. 55
Be wary of Sandra Brown books in iTunes. Evidently someone in her organization or at Apple, is listing her books as new, this one published June 1990, because they are now in e-book format. A disgrace. 15
This may have been published earlier, as some people mentioned in their reviews, but it's the first time I've read it and it was a page-turner for sure! The author puts a lot of suspense scattered with some steamy scenes to keep the reader very interested. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read the rest of Ms. Brown's books. 55
Fantastic book. 55
I love, love, love this book, but I will admit it is not new at all. I am glad it's available for my iPad so I can "re-visit an old friend" but I too wish that they would state that this is a "re-released" book. It's a bit misleading for some. 55
This book was excellent! The only problem was that I couldn't put it down and loss some sleep. Sandra Brown has done it again. 55
It annoys me to purchase a book that I have already read. Apple should be ashamed to mislead people into thinking books are new releases when the are not. 15
