Two brothers bound by more than blood fight to change a brutal destiny in this novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
Sold by his parents to the Queen of the s’Hisbe as a child, Trez escaped the Territory and has been a pimp and an enforcer for years. On the run from a destiny of sexual servitude, he’s never been able to rely on anyone...except for his brother, iAm.
iAm’s sole goal has always been to keep his brother from self-destructing—and he knows he’s failed. It’s not until the Chosen Selena enters Trez’s life that the male begins to turn things around...but by then, it’s too late. The pledge to mate the Queen’s daughter comes due, and there is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and no negotiating.
Now Trez must decide whether to endanger himself and others—or abandon the female he loves. When tragedy strikes and changes everything, iAm, in the name of brotherly love, is faced with making the ultimate sacrifice...
The Shadows (originally known as the Drifters) were an English instrumental rock group, and were Cliff Richard's backing band from 1958 to 1968 and have also collaborated again on numerous reunion tours. The Shadows have placed 69 UK charted singles from the 1950s to the 2000s, 35 credited to the Shadows and 34 to Cliff Richard and the Shadows. The group, who were in the forefront of the UK beat-group boom, were the first backing band to emerge as stars. As pioneers of the four-member instrumental format, the band consisted of lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums. Their range covers pop, rock, surf rock and ballads with a jazz influence. The core members from 1958 to 2015 were Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch. Along with the Fender guitar, another cornerstone of the Shadows sound was the Vox amplifier. The Shadows, with Cliff Richard, dominated British popular music in the late 1950s and early 1960s in the years before the Beatles. The Shadows' number one hits included "Apache", "Kon-Tiki", "Wonderful Land", "Foot Tapper" and "Dance On!". They disbanded in 1968, but reunited in the 1970s for further commercial success. The Shadows are the fourth most successful act in the UK singles chart, behind Elvis Presley, the Beatles, and Cliff Richard. The Shadows and Cliff Richard & the Shadows each have had four No. 1 selling EPs...
This was such a great one of the series i loved it 55
This was an amazing continuation to BDB. The relationship between Trez and iAm is so touching. I read this book in one weekend because I couldn't put it down. Everything about the story was amazing. You will not be disappointed! I can't wait to see what the future holds for Trez and the rest of the brothers. 55
I rarely ever cry while reading, but the character development in these stories is so good that you have to be sad with them. Really good but complex story. I'm not a fan of so many story lines but maybe that's what makes me look love these books. I do have to wait until life calms down before I start one so I can concentrate and focus. Probably why I got so emotional. 55
I have to say that J.R. has delivered a very heartfelt book. One of the best book in the series. All of the characters were in or at least mentioned here. I love when that happens. Still some loose story lines but thats what makes it great because we know J.R. is still writing the BBD series!! Looking forward to the next two! 55
OMG, gotta love these brothers, can't get enough.... Want more of these delicious males, love, tragedy! Devastation, joy... Wild and exciting ride. Keep them comin and I'll keep buying them! Love your mind JR Ward.... 55
the word to describe this book is amazing! this book had me feeling so many emotions. I actually cried. Cant wait for the next one to come out!!! 55
Love love love this book!!! Please write more!! 55
Good, emotional story. Only gripe is that the only two black characters get asked questions like "how you be?" And come from cannibals who sacrifice their young. Cue huge eye roll. Stereotype much? 45
As always I am not disappointed, another great read and I can't wait for the next book 55
Great addition to Brotherhood series. Love all the info on other characters. Want to hear more about LW though. 55
