From the New York Times bestselling author of The Giver of Stars, discover the love story that captured over 20 million hearts in Me Before You, After You, and Still Me.
“You’re going to feel uncomfortable in your new world for a bit. But I hope you feel a bit exhilarated too. Live boldly. Push yourself. Don’t settle. Just live well. Just live. Love, Will.”
How do you move on after losing the person you loved? How do you build a life worth living?
Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the transformative six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. When an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can’t help but feel she’s right back where she started.
Her body heals, but Lou herself knows that she needs to be kick-started back to life. Which is how she ends up in a church basement with the members of the Moving On support group, who share insights, laughter, frustrations, and terrible cookies. They will also lead her to the strong, capable Sam Fielding—the paramedic, whose business is life and death, and the one man who might be able to understand her. Then a figure from Will’s past appears and hijacks all her plans, propelling her into a very different future. . . .
For Lou Clark, life after Will Traynor means learning to fall in love again, with all the risks that brings. But here Jojo Moyes gives us two families, as real as our own, whose joys and sorrows will touch you deeply, and where both changes and surprises await.
After You may refer to: "After You", a 1937 song by Frances Faye "After You, Who?", a 1932 song by Cole Porter "After You", a song by Diana Ross from her 1976 album Diana Ross "After You" (Dionne Warwick song), 1979 ""After You" (Dan Seals song) After You..., originally Après vous..., a 2003 French film "After You" (Beverley Knight song), 2007 "After You" (Pulp song), 2013 After You (novel), a 2015 novel by Jojo Moyes..
A great sequel! 55
At first, it was great. However the story line is a little bit hard to believe. My main issue was with Lou, Sam, Lily, Donna, and the bad guy. Me Before You was such a wonderful touching story. Nothing cheesy. However, the other two books after it, are more like horrible cheesy lifetime movies. I was really into Me Before You. The other two, I could have lived without. I would have much rather had another Me Before You but from Will’s perspective. I’d love to know his thoughts and feelings about his condition as well as his feelings for Lou. 35
What a great book!!! 55
The title I gave it when I purchased it was because it’s Louisa’s story, but it’s under a different light. It's a great read that does justice to every penny spent and every moment spent reading and I have no words to express how interesting it was to see what happens after book 1. The way it begins, made me talk to myself. I was like: omg, look how it starts! I was surprised and I got sad and happy and experienced a wide range of emotions reading it. Can’t wait for book 3. 55
The first book was amazing. This has so many twists and turns, it makes it very messy and tries to surprise readers at every turn. Definitely not what I expected. 15
I love this authors books. She keeps the characters real, like you're reading about your best friends. She makes you fall in love with each character and each story within the first couple of chapters. 55
Loved this book! I read it in one sitting and made all my friends read it! The perfect book if you want to fall in love with the characters! 55
The first book was terrible I'm not even sure why i picked up the second audio book at the library. 100% satisfied I didn't waste money on either of them. 15
A nice story. Not as great as the first one, as always. But over all ok. Will patiently wait for the third one. 35
I knew from the beginning that it would be different from the first book. I was expecting finally to read about a happy Lou. But huge disappointment. When the story turns interesting finally, it ends with no direction. I read it completely but it took me a lot of effort. I was rushing the pages after the first three episodes. Boring. 25
Lackluster when compared to it’s prequel 35
Thank you to Jojo Moyes for two wonderful books ("Me Before You" the first book in this series). I have become a member of the families in these books over the last week as her writing leaves you immersed in them. I will miss them for days if not months. A great read. 55
I wanted to love this book as much as Me Before You, but it didn't quite happen. I could not put the first book down, but that was not the case with this book. It was a decent read! 45
I tired of this book about half-way through. The characters were thinly drawn and not believable. 25
Loved the first book... Second book was horrible. Its all over the place. Every plot twist (there's like 9) is completely random and out of left field, over the top and unnecessary. The story does not flow well at all. When the story does finally start to get intriguing, it's over. Don't waste your time or money... 15
I love a follow up book so you can continue with the characters whom you love and feel a bit invested with. This book doesn't disappoint. Great read and can't wait to see both movies! 55
I loved the story line!! It was interesting to see how Lou handled Will's death and the choices she made and the people that entered her life after Will. Please make this a trilogy!!! I would like to see some sort of finality with Lou. 55
I wanted to love this, but I didn't. Without spoiling the plot, I'll just say that it never gains momentum. By the time it seems like the story is finally getting started, it ends. Sort of. More like just stops. 25
Found myself skimming through the pages. Very disappointing. Nothing like Me Before You 15
Typical of Jojo Moyes, this is immediately and immensely readable. I am only disappointed in that it had to end as I believe there is (and can be) more to Louisa's story. 55
