I cannot believe I am giving a 5-star review for a fantasy collection. Spend the time to read the preceding collection to setup an afternoon by the winter fire. Or just read it. 55
I’ve not looked into the author but he’s a man who understands the complexity of combat and injury. I throughly enjoyed this work. 55
It is a masterpiece 55
Yennefer is by far my favorite character ever. 55
The Sword of Destiny is brilliant. This second short story collection exemplifies what is so great about the Witcher series. It is a perfect balance of emotional drama, delightfully portrayed action, and cerebral philosophy. This book is one of the best in the series. It has all the previously mentioned keystones of the Witcher without all of the jarring derailments and cumbersome politics of the later novels. 55
Riveting and intriguing as always, The Sword of Destiny is even better than The Last Wish. It combines authentic fairy tale telling with unexpected twists. Love, betrayal, violence, and 50+ other adjectives can describe the Sword of Destiny. Must Read! 55
Great continuation of the last wish. 55
